Invasive species data management and access: what you should know

Managing invasive species requires tracking a lot of information.

The Government of British Columbia keeps records of invasive species to track infestations and management activities. The provincial database, currently called the Invasive Alien Plant Program (IAPP) database, has inventory and management records for invasive plant species for all jurisdictions in BC. The Province is currently developing a new and modernized provincial invasive species database that will house all invasive species data, with an anticipated release in 2021.
