Best management practices (BMPs)

Everyone can and should help to stop invasive species. Every time you work in a natural area, maintain a roadway, build a facility, manage rangeland, monitor our natural resources, recreate on a lake, or extract natural resources, you are responsible for preventing the spread of invasive species.

The four key Best management practices (BMPs) to follow are:

1. Keep clean
2. Limit disturbance
3. Don’t introduce
4. Spot and report
